El día de ayer se llevó a cabo la premiación de los «DVD Critics’ Awards: The Great Eight».
Bob Chapek, presidente de Buena Vista Home Entertainment recibió el premio DVD Visionary por la innovación mostrada en el campo de los DVD’s.
Los premios entregados fueron:
-Mejor DVD estreno cinematográfico: Shrek 2, Schindler’s List (empate)
-Mejor DVD estreno no cinematográfico: «Walt Disney Treasures: Disney On the Front Lines»
-Mejor DVD de TV: «Seinfeld: Volumes 1 & 2,» «The Simpsons The Complete Fifth Season» (empate)
-Mejor DVD musical: «Tupac: Resurrection»
-Mejor DVD infantil: «Brother Bear»
-Mejor edición especial: «The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King»
-Mejor material adicional: «The Ultimate Matrix Collection»
